The University of New Mexico Department of Theatre and Dance is proud to share the accomplishments of our talented students and faculty and our many innovative projects. We hope you get a sense of the excitement we feel as we study and create performances in a community that supports exploration, risk-taking, and collaboration across disciplines.

The dance program at UNM operates in historic Carlisle Gym. Five studios accommodate all the dance classes in the program, with the Carlisle Performance Space acting as both classroom and theater for student performances. Four studios have a Marley floor and up-to-date sound equipment. The ballet studio has a piano for live accompaniment, and the flamenco studios have sound equipment for live guitar as well.
