The Williams College Dance Department invites applicants for a full time tenure-track position in Dance History and Theory beginning Fall 2015. Responsibilities will include teaching dance history and theory from a global perspective. Scholar/artists with performance and significant dance teaching experience are especially welcome to apply. Additional teaching could include anatomy/kinesiology, dance media and technology, choreography/improvisation, Laban Movement Analysis, and/or ensemble directing. In addition to sustaining scholarly and/or creative research, the successful candidate will collaborate with department faculty to expand curricular offerings and to develop innovative pedagogy that engages multiple disciplines at the college. Ph.D. or MFA should be in hand or expected by September 2015.
