The Department of Theatre and Dance at Wake Forest University invites applications for the Teaching Fellow in Dance. This non-tenure track position has an initial one year appointment with possible renewal for a total of three years. Start date August 2015.

 

Qualification:

MFA or PhD required. Dance scholarship, previous university teaching, choreography experience a must.

 

Responsibilities

The ability to teach the following:

Modern and/or Jazz dance technique, History of Dance and First Year Seminar;

Expertise in one of the following areas:

Dance Education, Dance and Technology, Pilates, Somatics, World Arts forms, Tap dance and non-western dance forms;

Choreograph for the Dance concerts and assist in dance concert productions;

Play an active role in recruitment and retention of students, work collaboratively with other faculty on curricular development and administrative/organizational issues;

Share undergraduate academic advising responsibilities;

Serve on Departmental Committees;

Candidates should also possess strong organizational skills.

 

Salary Range: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
