Florida State University School of Dance is seeking a collaborative and innovative dance artist to join our esteemed faculty as an Assistant Professor of Dance in Contemporary Techniques. This is a tenure track position. The FSU School of Dance is one of the top programs in the country with stellar faculty, staff, facilities, and student body. We offer a BFA in Dance, an MA in Studio and Related Studies, and an MFA in Performance and Choreography. Salary Range
Minimum $52,000. Maximum negotiable.

Qualifications
Demonstrated teaching ability and experience in one or more contemporary techniques or studio and performance practices. MFA degree in dance or comparable professional experience and credentials.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in all levels of one or more contemporary techniques or studio and performance practices. The ability also to teach one or more of the following is required: improvisation, dance composition, movement analysis, pedagogy, dance technology, dance and video, dance science, somatic practices, or repertory. Additional duties will include mentoring and directing student work, academic advising, and participating in student assessment and audition processes, appropriate committee membership, and recruitment activities.
