Responsibilities include teaching all levels of Ballet Technique and Theory, Pointe, or Men’s Technique, and Pas de deux, and at least two or more of the following: Pedagogy, Music for Ballet Dancers, Choreography, or general education lecture courses.

Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited institution with an MFA degree in Dance or a related field plus two years of related experience OR any combination of equivalent education and experience totaling eight years.

Knowledge

Knowledge of recruitment, advisement, and placement.

Skills

Skill in mentoring and advising students.
Skill in assessing student talents.
Skill in directing student performance groups and mentoring student choreography.
Grant writing and administrative skills highly desirable.
Experience in re-staging choreography

Abilities

Ability to Design and teach courses in levels of Ballet Technique and Theory, Pointe or Men’s Technique, and Pas de deux.
Ability to design curriculum and teach courses in at least two of the following areas: Pedagogy, Music for Ballet Dancers, Choreography, or general education courses.
