The Expressive Therapies Division of Lesley University invites applicants to apply for a full-time position in the dance/movement therapy specialization of the masters degree programs.  This position is a 12-month assignment beginning in July 2015.  Reporting to the Division Director, the Assistant/Associate Professor will teach courses and advise students, sustain an academic program of study, and participate in institutional service.

The graduate program in Expressive Therapies offers specializations in Art Therapy, Dance Therapy, Music Therapy, Drama Therapy and Expressive Arts Therapy. The ideal candidate will have graduate teaching experience and clinical practice with diverse populations, in addition to having personal involvement in creative/artistic work.



  • Must be enrolled in or have completed a doctoral degree in Dance Therapy, Expressive Therapies, Psychology, Education Arts or a related field.
  • Must have registry (BC-DMT) in Dance/Movement Therapy,
  • Must have at least two years of teaching experience, five years of clinical experience and a record of scholarly work.
  • Ability to teach related courses in Expressive Therapies preferred.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States; if you hold a visa, your visa status must allow you to work at Lesley University.
