We seek two new colleagues that can teach across the dance degree programs (BA, BFAMFA) as well as contribute to general educations courses, both practice and theory. Our dance programs excel at providing versatile training for our all our students, through the integration of studio and seminar courses, production opportunities and close faculty mentorship. New faculty will be expected to have teaching strengths in two or more of the following areas: African dance, ballet, choreography, jazz dance, modern dance, and music theatre dance. We welcome applicants who can also teach courses in partnering, hip-hop, improvisation, screen dance and/or somatic practices. Other responsibilities may include: teaching general education courses such as Appreciating Dance, developing online curriculum, choreographing for departmental productions, supervising teaching assistants, mentoring student work, and directing student dance companies. A demonstrated interest in collaborative art making and technology is a plus.
