Dixie Durr Award for Outstanding Service to Dance Research

CORD is not currently accepting nominations for this award.

This award recognizes the indispensable aid rendered the field of dance studies by people who sustain existing structures, institutions, and organizations for dance research.  The award calls attention to superlative labor, especially, but not limited to, unpaid labor performed for extended periods of time.  Such labor might make professional organizations run efficiently, ease and facilitate the use of archives or collections; or aid grant-writing or publication processes.  The Committee may entertain additional formulations of "service” so long as they do not conflict with the Outstanding Scholarly Research category. 

To nominate, submit a letter of nomination specifying and documenting the nature and duration of the nominee’s service activity and its significance to dance studies in the order format requested on the previous page.  Supporting documents are vital.  The Committee may request the nominator to send additional materials.
